This application is mainly for a lost, stolen or damaged regular passport.
If you need a new passport urgently, you may apply for an emergency passport, which will have limited validity only. To apply for an emergency passport, you must come in-person to the Australian Consulate in Phuket to complete an application form and provide a police report, some proof of identities (if possible), and three passport photographs (please refer to passport photograph guidelines). Please note that it is a requirement to provide a Thai police report to confirm that your passport has been lost or stolen.
An emergency passport currently takes two working days to process. Please note that it is your responsibility to ensure it is suitable for your travel in relation to visa requirements. If you are travelling to some other countries, you may need to contact the relevant embassies to confirm this before applying for an emergency passport.
